The Coyotes would threaten by getting a couple of runners walked by relief pitcher Jasper Cousins in the seventh, but the Trojans’ defense shut them down to take the victory Devon Young, with an injured elbow, couldn’t start as catcher but that didn’t stop him from knocking in three runs with three singles. Trojan Nolan Hall added two singles and two RBIs. Hall and Cousins teamed up for a four-hitter, striking out seven and walking five. MDI’s Sammy Stewart had a single and two RBIs for the Trojans.
