first_img2211/32 Refinery Pde, New Farm has sold for a building record price.TWO interstate buyers battled to secure a luxury New Farm unit with the deal done within a couple of days.The unit at the Refinery in Cutters Landing at 32 Refinery Pde, New Farm sold for $2.62 million.Marketing agent Christine Rudolph of Ray White New Farm said normally it would take anywhere from three months to three years to sell such a property but this deal was secured within three days – the fastest sale in the exclusive building.“We got the photographs on the Wednesday and put it on internet on Thursday and by Friday I had people queuing before the first open which was absolutely remarkable.The sale follows another in the same “complex’’ last week where a house, which also came under body corporate control was sold for a record $4.9 million through Brett Greensill of LJ Hooker New Farm.Ms Rudolph said interest in the building was strong and they received multiple offers for the apartment. 2211/32 Refinery Pde, New FarmMs Rudolph said the other potential buyer, who was from Sydney had commented to buy something in the eastern suburbs in Sydney he would be paying about $2.1 million for a two-bedroom, one-bathroom waterfront apartment, which would need renovating.“Then you come up to Brisbane and you see a really beautiful bespoke building that has got some character to it.’’ 2211/32 Refinery Pde, New FarmThe apartment has large floor to ceiling windows which allow river views.
