I can say since the day that I arrived back at London Colney, Mesut’s attitude and professionalism has been incredible and his performance against Bournemouth was another really big positive from the match.‘When we carried out our pre-match preparations and were watching Bournemouth and where we could hurt them, we believed that Mesut could be a key player.‘He responded, did what he had to do, and we could’ve scored two or three goals because of him. DONEGAL ICE-CREAM CONE COMPANY CUTS WORKERS’ HOURS BECAUSE OF HORRIFIC SUMMER!

first_imgDonegal’s amateur weatherman Michael Gallagher shares an ice-cream with model Georgia Salpa during slightly better weather than this summer!A Donegal company which produces ice cream cones is refusing to be licked despite the poor weather. The Irish Cone and Wafer Manufacturer Ltd has been forced to cut back the hours of seasonal workers because of a downturn in demand for its cones and wafers. The company, which is based on the Derrybeg Industrial Estate in West Donegal, is usually pumping out orders to keep up with demand for ice-cream sales. But with Ireland having suffered one of the poorest summers on record for years, demand for traditional 99 ice-cream cones has gone through the floor. In fact, director of the company, Seamus McGowan said this is the worst summer they have seen since they set up operation in Donegal in 2004.“We usually have our busiest months between February and August but this year has been a disaster.“We would usually take on seasonal workers but the weather has been so bad that we have been forced to cut their hours. “Our sales are directly reflected by the kind of weather we have. If we have a good weather spell then our orders go up.“We had a very good year last year and we were very busy but this year has been the worst that I can remember in the eleven years that we have been opened.“I suppose we have to take the good with the bad,” he said. However Mr McGowan is refusing to allow the wind and rain to bite into his business. He said he was hoping that temperatures may start to rise throughout August and that we may even experience an Indian summer. “We live in hope. I know forecasters are saying it is supposed to be picking up so perhaps we might have a nice end to the summer and sales will pick up also,” he added.DONEGAL ICE-CREAM CONE COMPANY CUTS WORKERS’ HOURS BECAUSE OF HORRIFIC SUMMER! was last modified: August 11th, 2015 by StephenShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Tags:derrybegdonegalice-cream conesummerwaferslast_img read more
