DTI-Negros warns stores to avoid ‘overpricing’ Noche Buena items

first_imgBACOLOD City – The Department of Tradeand Industry (DTI) in Negros Occidental warned stores to avoid overpricingNoche Buena items.     Prices of ham range from P135 toP1,025, depending on the brand and weight, while fruit cocktail costs fromP50.35 to P239.40. Romel Amihan, senior trade andindustry development specialist of DTI-Negros Occidental, said on Thursday thatgrocery stores and supermarkets should comply with the new suggested retailprices (SRPs) for the goods.   A supermarket in Bacolod City is stocked with Christmas holiday food items, including those for Noche Buena. The Department of Trade and Industry-Negros Occidental warned stores to avoid overpricing these products.
